Anne Arundel was the first county established in Md, going back to the 1600s. The county borders go from the southern part of Baltimore City, all the way south to Annapolis and beyond. There are many areas in the eastern part of the county which border the Chesapeake Bay and its various inlets, which make Anne Arundel Co the haven for boating lovers in this part of Maryland. There are many Waterfront, as well as Water View properties here.
BWI International Airport is located towards the northern part of the county, just as is Ft. George Meade with its many faclities which provide both civilian and military jobs.
Annapolis, Baltimore and Washington DC nearly form a triangle around AA County.

Baltimore County is a seperate entity from Baltimore City. Baltimore Co. is comprised of the many communities which basically form a ring around Baltimore City. The I695 Baltimore Beltway provides easy access to all the communities in the County, and an easy inlet to the City.

Carroll County, like all of the counties in Maryland is rich in history. In fact, Carroll Co. is named after Charles Carroll (1737-1832), a Revolutionary War statesman and a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
With its county seat in the city of Westminster (often mispronounced as West-Minister!), Carroll Co. is growing, but still sparsely populated, with only about 170,000 residents. The northern edge of Carroll borders on Pennsylvania.
The home prices here are generally lower than in nearby counties, but this is changing very quickly with the rapid development of the county.
